KARACHI: Students appeared for different papers on the second day of the 2022 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams under the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) on Wednesday.

There was the Computer Science and Urdu compulsory paper for class 10 in the morning and afternoon shifts, respectively, while class nine students appeared for their General Group paper, Sindhi and Geography papers in the afternoon.

BSEK chairman Syed Sharaf Ali Shah, secretary Syed Mohammad Ali Shaiq and controller of examinations Imran Tariq made random visits to several examination centres and were informed by the examination staff there that they were taking nothing lightly and had been frisking each and every student before they are allowed to enter the examination room or hall.

The BSEK chairman told all examination staff to take special care of the students and be sensitive to their needs while they are solving their papers. He told them to make sure they have access to cool drinking water at all times.

He also issued directive that they be allowed inside the exam halls as soon as possible after reaching their centres as it was not right to make them stand outside under the hot sun while the staff is readying things inside.
