TOBA TEK SINGH: The Faisalabad police on Thursday arrested a man who allegedly threatened a terrorist attack on Australian cricket team during its Lahore tour.

Police said a team conducted a raid at Sarfraz Colony and arrested Irfan Naseer.

Faisalabad police spokesperson Syed Muneeb Ahsan told reporters that a case under sections 7ATA and 25 of Telegraph Act had been registered by the Ghulam Muhammadabad police against Naseer.

He said the police had traced him through his mobile phone number’s call data which showed he threatened the Australian interior ministry that he would attack the cricketers in Lahore.
