ISLAMABAD: A man was killed and six others were injured in a road accident on Seventh Avenue, police said on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Rayan, 14, while the names of the injured were Mohammad Idrees, Sanaullah, Mohammad Attaullah, Sami Qasir, Ahmed Tahir and Samiullah.

Condition of the injured is stated to be critical, the police said, adding that as per the doctors’ advice they were not in a condition to record their statements.

According to Kohsar police officials, after getting information about the road accident, police reached Seventh Avenue near Kulsum Chowk and found two motorcycles broken into pieces. The motorcycle parts were later shifted to the police station, they added.

The police also shifted the body of the deceased and the injured to Polyclinic and Pims. It has still not been ascertained what had happened as there were no witnesses, officials said.
