LAHORE: The Lahore police have released a report for the first three months of 2022 regarding action initiated against hardened criminals.

According to the report, the police retrieved land and properties of more than 130 citizens. The properties consisted over 505 kanal area worth Rs89 billion. It said the police arrested 14,602 criminals involved in crimes and violations during the same period.

The police also arrested 648 members of 253 gangs and recovered cash and valuables worth more than Rs270 million and Rs2.4 million from them. It recovered 25 cars, 1,123 motorcycles, 46 other vehicles, 14 laptops and 843 mobile phones.

The Lahore police arrested 1,214 criminals and registered 1,207 cases against them. It recovered five Kalashnikov, 90 rifles, 41 guns, 1,007 pistols, a carbine, seven revolvers and more than 6,000 bullets.

During action against drug peddlers, the Lahore police arrested 1,973 criminals and registered 1,939 FIRs against them.

Moreover, 463 proclaimed offenders of the A category, 2,552 POs of the B category, 1,305 targeted offenders and 3,631 court absconders were arrested.
