ABBA release new video for 1979 single ‘Chiquitita’
Swedish pop group ABBA is back with a new music video. The group released the video of their single “Chiquitita”, featuring throwback performance footage and the song’s lyrics.
“Chiquitita” is the lead single from ABBA’s 1979 album, Voulez-Vous. In November, ABBA reunited to release Voyage, their ninth studio album and their first album in 40 years.
“When we got into the studio after 39 years, it was like no time had been lost,” the group said at the time. “This is what we really love to do, and to be able to do it at 70 is deep satisfaction, as well,” they added.
ABBA is promoting the album with ‘ABBA Voyage’, a new concert experience featuring their digital avatars accompanied by a live band.
ABBA consists of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.
Tom Cruise to be honoured at Cannes
Tom Cruise will be honoured with a career retrospective at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
It is reported that Cannes will feature a special tribute to Cruise and a conversation with the actor hosted by journalist Didier Allouch on May 18. The events will take place ahead of the premiere of Cruise’s film Top Gun: Maverick.
Reports surfaced that Top Gun: Maverick will have a special Official Selection Screening at Cannes. Cannes festival head Thierry Frémaux confirmed the news on Twitter.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish trailer
Antonio Banderas is back as the daring outlaw Puss in Boots in the new trailer for upcoming animated film, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
The swashbuckling cat discovers that he has used up eight of his nine lives after a lifetime of adventures in the recently released clip. He must then journey to the Black Forest to find the Wishing Star in order to restore his lost lives. Puss in Boots will be joined by his former partner and nemesis Kitty Soft Paws, voiced by Salma Hayek, on the journey along with dog Perro, voiced by Harvey Guillén.
The group will have to deal with Goldilocks, voiced by Florence Pugh and the Three Bears Crime Family along the way. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is coming to theatres on September 23.
