The mystery of the haunted house

This is with reference to the story “The mystery of the haunted house” by Zara Naz (YW, January 15). The story contained a lesson that we should not believe in rumours until we come to know the truth behind them. The story also gave us the lesson that we should not judge anyone.

Sometimes people’s painful past makes them stay quiet, so they remain aloof and others perceive that they don’t want to be part of their cheerful moments. Before passing any judgment, always look for the truth.

The big surprise

This is regarding the story “The big surprise” by Aayat Awan (YW, January 1). It was an amazing story with some funny and interesting details.

I was surprised to find that the story was narrated by a cow. I appreciate the writer and the YW team for publishing imaginative stories like this one.

The broken string

This is with reference to the story “The broken string” by Aamina Amjad (YW, December 18). I liked the story because it highlighted that sometimes by mistake, we misbehave with our parents and forget their value in our life.

And sometimes, due to some misunderstanding, youngsters feel that they are not loved by their parents, while this is not true. Every parent loves their children. If parents shout at us, it is for our own benefit.

We are bestowed with parents who sacrifice everything for us, whether it is their sleep, health or wealth; they also save us from every danger. It is our utmost responsibility to care for them and show them love and affection throughout our life.

Don’t fake happiness

This is regarding the cover article “Don’t fake happiness” by Syeda Arfa Fatima (YW, January 15). Happiness and sorrows are both part of our lives, but we must remember that we should not lie to ourselves when we are sad and show fake happiness.

Whatever you are going through, be it a happy or sad phase, you must not lie to yourself and the world. Be who you are. Remember, those who stay with you are your real friends.

“Don’t fake happiness” by Syeda Arfa Fatima was an amazing article. We don’t need to hide our feeling, whether we are happy or sad. Express your feelings with an open heart. Happiness is a treasure, it grows with sharing. So be real, and don’t hide or fake your feelings.
