LAKKI MARWAT: Two terrorists were killed in a shootout with police after they martyred a Frontier Corps soldier and left his body in the mountains near Karmukhel village of Lakki Marwat district, said a police official on Sunday.

“On Jan 14, he left home at noon on a motorcycle, but did not return till evening and the next day his bullet-riddled body was found in the mountains near Karmukhel area,” he said.

The official said that the killers had also taken away motorcycle of the martyred soldier.

He said the soldier’s brother Shafiullah named the terrorists affiliated with a banned outfit for the murder of his brother in his preliminary report.

The official said that the police retaliated and the gun battle continued for an hour. Later, the police recovered the bodies of two terrorists when firing stopped and seized two AK-47 assault rifles and the stolen motorcycle, he said.

He said the police identified the suspected terrorists as Abdul Rauf, a resident of Sherikhel, and Suleman of Jabukhel with the help of villagers.
