Parallel talks were being held between the three principal Pakistan armed forces chiefs who are members of the delegation and the heads of the three armed services of China.

Earlier today, a senior Pakistani official said the delegation’s visit could be related to the departure next week of Peking’s delegation to the United Nations. An official spokesman told newsmen that Indian border activity could be raised at the Security Council as a possible threat to peace, but he declined to say whether Pakistan had asked China to raise the issue.
