KARACHI: Two more persons, one of them an infant girl, were electrocuted in the Manghopir area on Sunday, police said.

With the fresh incidents, the number of people died from electrocution following rains since Friday has risen to seven.

Manghopir SHO Haji Sanaullah said that one-year-old Muskan Majid suffered an electric shock inside her home in Ghazi Goth. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

He quoted her relatives as telling the police that they did not want any legal proceedings. In another incident, a 25-year-old man was electrocuted on the outskirts of the city.

The Shah Latif Town police said that Anthony George died after suffering an electric shock near Jameela Farm House near Memon Goth. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
