Once upon a time, there were two good friends who were coming home after having dinner together and they met an accident. It was a terrible accident in which both got injured. The two friends were admitted in the same hospital for treatment.

One of them was critically injured. There was no hope for his survival. So when he came to know about it, he decided to donate all his money to the hospital for the treatment of poor patients.

The other friend, Ahmed, became fine in a few weeks and went home. But Ahmed was very sad about losing a good friend since they had known each other from childhood. During his stay in the hospital Ahmed too decided that he would also donate money to the hospital since he saw many poor people coming there for treatment but becoming very distressed due to the expenses.

The hospital used their money to treat cancer patients, particularly a little girl who was admitted there for the treatment of bone cancer. Her family could not afford the expensive treatment but were very happy when they came to know that the girl would get free treatment. It was all thanks to the generosity of Ahmed and his friend.

With time, the girl recovered fully and was thankful to Allah and to the two friends who had donated money to the hospital. It was then that she decided to become a doctor herself and help others, especially the poor who cannot afford expensive treatment.

So you see my friends, a good deed can save the life of someone and it then starts a cycle of good deeds that soon touches the lives of many others. So try and do those good deeds that touch the lives of many people and also continue to benefit others long after you are gone.
