CHAGAI: The mercury dropped in some areas of Chagai, Washuk and surrounding districts after they received slight and moderate rains with windstorm on Monday.

The windstorm caused damage to solar panels in agricultural areas of Chagai and Washuk. Some areas near the Pak-Afghan border, including Bahram Chah, Posti, Nalaap in Chagai, received moderate rain. In these areas floodwater was also seen flowing in some streams.

Dalbandin, Nokundi and their surrounding areas received slight rain which made the weather pleasant after a long heat wave.

Meanwhile, some solar panels were damaged after heavy windstorm hit some areas, including Dalbandin, Chagai and Washuk.

Routine traffic on main highways also faced hurdles owing to windstorm. According to the Met office, Dalbandin town received two millimetres of rain on Monday.
