As a result, his brother Khathim and his wife were killed and their 15-year-old daughter was seriously injured. She was referred to Mardan Medical Complex from local THQ hospital in critical condition.

The cause of the incident was stated to be rivalry over a woman’s relations. When contacted, officials of Kalu Khan police station said that none of the accused had so far been arrested.

SAY NO TO DRUGS: Speakers at a seminar held in government postgraduate college, Swabi, the other day asked the youth to stay away from narcotics.

The seminar was organised by the district police and it was announced that more such functions would be held in educational institutions.

The college principal Prof Anwarzeb Shah said students who acquired education in colleges and universities were mature and they should avoid use of drugs to protect their future.
