LAHORE: City police arrested underworld don Khwaja Aqeel alias Gogi Butt soon after he was released from the Camp Jail on bail here on Wednesday.

He was arrested by Sabzazar police in cases lodged against him under charges of extortion and terrorism. A police source said Gogi Butt was arrested earlier on May 6 by the CIA police during a raid carried out at his Canal View Housing Society residence in a case lodged against him under the 7-ATA.

At that time the FIR was lodged by a citizen who alleged the gangster had demanded Rs5 million extortion from him. The police had also recovered from him illegal weapons and he was in jail since then.
