Russian movie to be shot in space

Russia is planning a first movie to be shot in outer space, Russia’s Roscosmos space agency said. Four people will serve as nonprofessional crew members and actors. Some of them are scheduled to be launched on a Soyuz MS-19 craft on October 5, to be delivered to the International Space Station, which orbits Earth at an altitude of around 220 miles (354 km), according to Roscosmos and Nasa.

“Among other things, they will have to take centrifuge tests, vibration stand tests, perform introductory and training flights on a zero-gravity plane, undergo parachute training,” Roscosmos said. The film has the working title of “Challenge”. Russia has picked 36-year-old actor Yulia Peresild and actor and director Klim Shipenko, 37, to be included in the main crew. Actor Alena Mordovina, 33, together with camera director Alexei Dudin, 40, were nominated for a reserve crew.

BTS releases “Butter”

K-pop superstars BTS released their second English-language single, “Butter,” an upbeat dance-pop track that bandleader RM said he hoped would be “the summer song for 2021.”

Last year’s “Dynamite,” became the first track by an all-South Korean group to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The group has resonated with its fans for bringing an emotional and social dimension to its lyrics and subject matter, presented as a way to help audiences through difficult times.

The group, which consists of members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook, will be celebrating its eighth anniversary this month and will hold an online version of its annual BTS Fiesta fan event to commemorate the occasion.
