LAHORE: The Barki police on Thursday registered a case against a man on charges of raping a ‘delivery boy’ of an online food business.

In the FIR, the complainant said the suspect had placed an order for barbecues online. As he reached the given address, the suspect took him to a room of a plaza where he raped him and fled the scene.

Police said an investigation had been launched after lodging a case against the nominated suspect.

A source claimed that the suspect had been arrested.

Found dead: The body of an unidentified girl was found in the canal near Harbanspura on Thursday.

Initial police inquiries suggested that the girl was allegedly shot dead.

A police official said a passerby spotted the body and alerted the police who shifted it to the city morgue.

Further investigation has been launched after lodging a case, he said.

He said the police experts collected finger prints of the deceased and sent to the lab for forensic analysis to establish her identity.
