AN unannounced gas loadshedding is being carried out in Gulzar-i-Hijri area from 11.30pm to 7am. I came to know about it when I found my geyser off in the morning.

Upon inquiry, I was told that some repair work was in progress.

When I asked why the consumers were not informed beforehand as many could be using gas room-heaters, and interruption in gas supply could prove dangerous, the gas company helpline representative replied that the relevant officers had been informed. This has been going on for a few weeks now.

The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) is adding to the misery of the consumers by not even bothering to inform them about load management timings. Such an attitude is condemnable.
