IT is sad that political leaders do not learn any lessons from their past follies and continue to indulge in attempts to dislodge the sitting government in the name of democracy. The coronavirus pandemic and bad policies have caused a devastating effect on the economy, causing unprecedented inflation among other things.
The politicians on both sides seem oblivious to the fact that economic growth can only be achieved through consistent policies, hard work and continuity in work which require collaboration on some basic principles. On the contrary, any party that comes to power in the country disregards the good work of previous governments and wants to start everything from the scratch. This lack of continuity has put us in an unending loop where we keep repeating everything over and over again.
The leaders need to hold a national dialogue to take the country out of the crisis we are in. Mere blaming one another for past failures means nothing.
