RAWALPINDI: Amba­ssa­dor of Saudi Arabia Nawaf Saeed Al Malkiy on Tuesday called on Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), they discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security situation and bilateral def­e­nce relations between the two brotherly countries.

The ambassador reaffirmed full support of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan’s position on all matters, especially on regional issues.

High Commissioner of Sri Lanka retired Vice Admiral Mohan Wijewickrama also called on Army Chief General Bajwa.

During the meeting matters of mutual interest, regional security and enhanced bilateral cooperation came under discussion, said the ISPR.

The high commissioner app­reciated Pakistan’s role in regional stability and progr­ess made in the fight against terrorism, said the ISPR press release.
