OKARA: A bridegroom was killed while the bride was injured during an accident in Minchinabad on Sunday.

The marriage procession of Ghulam Mustafa, a resident of Chorasta Mian Khan, Dipalpur, was going back to his home. He, his bride and a woman of her family were travelling in a car driven by a driver. When the marriage procession was a few kilometers from Chorasta Mian Khan, Mustafa’s car was hit by another car coming from the opposite side. As a result of the collision, Ghulam Mustafa died on the spot while the bride, her relative woman and the car driver received serious injuries. The injured were shifted to the tehsil headquarters (THQ) hospital by the Rescue 1122.

In another incident, a motorcycle-rickshaw was hit by a car near Chak 39/D, Dipalpur. As a result of the accident, one Nasim Bibi was killed while the rickshaw-driver suffered injuries.

KIDNAPPED: A young girl was allegedly kidnapped by eight people, including a woman, from village Burj Jewsy Khan.

The girl’s father, Abdur Rahim, told the Gogera police that he and his wife were working in the fields when eight people, including Naik Muhammad, Hamza, Jamil, Jabbar, Ahmad Yar and Iqra, reached his home on four motorcycles and kidnapped his daughter, Maryam. Police registered a case.
