KARACHI: The new domestic season has crossed the half way stage but the competing players who signed the contracts with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are still waiting their monthly payments under fresh contracts which commenced three months ago.

A number of players in regional outfits, on condition of anonymity, confirmed to this correspondent that they had not been paid even once since the signing of fresh contracts before the new first class season which began in the last week of October this year.

The PCB, on Sept 28, had announced 2020-21 contracts for 192 domestic players.

A PCB official, while acknowledging the delay in payments to the players, assured that the payment process would be completed this week.
