MARDAN: Former chief minister and central senior-vice president of Awami National Party Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on Friday ruled out talks between the government and the Pakistan Democratic Movement.

He was talking to mediapersons on the occasion of a private news channel’s foundation anniversary in the auditorium of the Mardan Press Club.

Mr Hoti said leaders of the parties forming the PDM had neither demanded NRO from the government nor the rulers had any authority or power to do so. He denied any differences in the PDM as claimed by the government.

“The incumbent government is under pressure since the PDM came into being,” he claimed, adding the rulers feared the growing popularity of the opposition parties’ movement.

He warned that the government representatives would face mega corruption cases once they were out of power.

Mr Hoti claimed that billions of rupees corruption had been made in wheat flour and sugar scams. He insisted that the government’s days were numbered as it had disillusioned the masses by not delivering on its promises.
