HYDERABAD, Sept 27: The Institute of Dentistry of the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro, in collaboration with the Colgate limited launched an oral health week on Tuesday to provide free medical treatment to dental patients.

The inaugural ceremony was performed by LUMHS Vice-Chancellor Prof Jan Mohammad Memon, at the city branch of the hospital.

He paid compliments to the dean of the Institute of Dentistry, Prof Rafiq Memon, faculty members and the company for organizing the oral health week.

Prof Rafiq Memon said three days of the oral health week would be held in Hyderabad and three days in Jamshoro.

He said patients would be provided free medical treatment for six days at both the places.

The medical superintendent of the university hospital, Dr Khalid Qureshi, also spoke on the occasion.

A large number of dental patients were examined by Dr Rafiq Memon and his team free of any charges and also given free medical treatment.
