Happy Teacher’s Day

World Teacher’s Day is celebrated on October 5 every year. On this day students show their love and gratitude to their teachers for making them achieve something in life.

The observation of this day aims to raise awareness of the vital role teachers play over the world. Furthermore, teachers are like a ladder that helps students reach success. Teachers are the parents who guide without any ulterior motive.

We should all respect and appreciate this noble profession. Happy Teacher’s Day!

Happiness is a choice

I am really thankful of the Young World team for printing articles such as “Happiness is a choice” by Heera Shahid (September 19, 2020). It made me realise that happiness is really in our hands, we can be happy if really we want to be.

We all have the misconception that if we become rich, we will be happy but this is actually not true. Happiness doesn’t come from things but from within us, as the writer discussed. Whatever we have, for that we should be thankful to God and feel good about it.

I hope to continue reading such meaningful articles to keep us positive and thankful.

A friend in need

This is with reference to the story “A friend in need” by Asif Murab Umrani (YW, 22 August, 2020). The writer portrayed some positive features of friends.

These days people are filled with negativity and no one is really willing to help others. And this behaviour influences our children and the youth. Many people today are suffering from depression and low self-esteem due to the constant criticism they received from others.

If every individual spent time with others and their family, then they will be safe from all negativity and become truly happy.

And whoever saves life of one person, it is as if he has saved the entire humanity.

Use cloth bags

When I see a plastic bag lying on the road, I start thinking that if cloth bags are used instead of plastic bags, won’t it lead to cleanliness of the environment. People never ever throw a cloth bag away after using it just once because it can be washed and reused.

The problems arising from the use of plastic bags are serious. Plastic bags can stop water flowing in the drains, they do not decompose easily and can lead to other serious issues.

It is my request that people should start using cloth bag for shopping.
