CHAGAI: Workers of the National Party (NP) and Baloch Students Organisation-Pajjar (BSO-P) staged a protest demonstration outside the Dalbandin Press Club to condemn repeated cancellation of advertised jobs by government departments.

The protesters chanted slogans against the provincial government, blaming it for limiting employment opportunities in the province.

Addressing the protesters, NP labour secretary Sardar Rafique Sher Sanjrani denounced cancellation of jobs by certain provincial government departments in Balochistan.

He said that the increasing unemployment in the country had very negative impact on the mental health of young people because they had very little opportunities.

Many government departments had several times cancelled vacancies after getting their advertisements published in local newspapers, he said, adding that jobless people were tired of submitting applications for jobs.

He urged the authorities concerned not to revoke the available job opportunities and start the recruitment process as soon as possible.
