KP MNA, three relatives test positive for virus

SWABI: MNA Usman Khan Tarakai along with three other members of his family tested positive, taking the total number of coronavirus patients in the Tarakai family to 17 here on Saturday.

This was confirmed by Usman Trarakai when contacted by this correspondent on phone.

“Yes my coronavirus test was positive. My wife, my son Bilal Usman Tarakai and his wife’s test was also positive. We have isolated ourselves in our Tarakai House from Saturday,” he said.

He said he had attended the National Assembly session in Islamabad the other day and also offered Fateha on the death of two persons in his constituency.

“I continued my routine political activities till my test came positive on Saturday because l was feeling well,” he said. “Right now I feel good both mentally and physically.”

“I would remain under treatment at my house till recovery,” he said.

He said Akhtar Zaman, his driver, had also tested positive and four members of the family of Biland Iqbal Tarakai, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s Peshawar region president, were also positive. Mr Tarakai said Biland Iqbal’s wife, her son and wife had also tested positive for coronavirus.

Meanwhile, eight members of the family of Wilayat Shah Tarakai, Shahram Khan Tarakai’s uncle, have also been suffering from coronavirus.
