GHALANAI: The security forces and local religious scholars have decided to follow precautionary measures during worship and prayers in Ramazan.

The security forces held a consultation meeting of local religious scholars at Cadet College Mohmand in connection with a of 20-point declaration issued by the President of Pakistan about precautionary measures during prayers.

Brig Abdur Rauf and assistant commissioners Hamid Iqbal and Abdul Wahab Khalil, local religious scholars and elders attended the meeting.

Addressing on the occasion, Brig Abdur Rauf said that precautionary measures were being taken to prevent coronavirus worldwide. “We too should follow the precautionary measures issued by the government and the department of health,” he said.

He said that according to a statement in consultation with the President of Pakistan and the ulema, prayers would be arranged in mosques during Ramazan by taking precautionary measures.

Speaking on the occasion, Brig Rauf Shahzad said that according to the declaration, prayers in the mosques would be offered on clean floor. “People having more than 50 years of age, minor and patients of cough, nausea and cold should not go to mosques,” he said.

He urged the prayer leaders to ensure six feet distance between the worshipers. He said that people going to mosque should use face mask. He said that there should be no arrangement of Iftar and Sehri in the mosques.

“The government will revise its policy if precautionary measures are not implemented and the number of patients increases in the month of Ramazan,” he said. He added that precautionary measures were being taken to prevent spread of coronavirus.
