SWABI: The educated people and jirga members of Naro Kallay here on Sunday established an educational welfare society which would guide and support the village youth to excel in diverse fields of knowledge and assist the local people in getting proper medical treatment.

In this connection, a meeting was held at the hujra of Mirazam Sher Kaka, which was attended by the jirga members, doctors, engineers and other educated people of the area.

It was decided that all those educated persons who could contribute to the welfare of the local people would be members of the society.

Mirazam Kaka, Sher Ali Khan and other people expressed their readiness to extend complete support to the educational society for promotion of education and helping the local people in getting treatment facilities.

On this occasion, the participants finalised name of the body as Naro Educational Welfare Society.

They said that their mission was to provide an environment to the students where they could excel in education and be able to face the emerging challenges. They said that the new body would guide the students and promote their achievements.

The participants nominated Dr Nasir Ali as the society president, Dr Tariq Hussain general secretary, Haseeb Shehzed deputy general secretary and Raziq Sher finance secretary.

PTI CRTICISED: Awami National Party’s local leader said here on Sunday that the allegations of corruption by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s own MPA and removal of three ministers had vindicated the stance of opposition parties.

Talking to mediapersons, party’s Razaar tehsil president Mohammad Ishfaq Khan said that corruption had increased in the province during the PTI rule. He claimed that the people no longer believed in the slogan of ‘change’ of the ruling party.
