KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Monday claimed to have detained a dozen suspects allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade.

The paramilitary force carried out intelligence-based actions in Khokhrapar, Model Colony, Malir City, Eidgah, Nabi Bux, Kalakot, Kalri, Baghdadi and Jackson areas and apprehended 12 suspects, said the spokesperson.

The held suspects were identified as Naeem, M. Husain, Aurangzeb alias Budha, M. Farhan, Shahzad Ali, M. Ihsan, Abdul Karim, Shah Husain, Aga Khalil, Alam alias Munna, Sher Khan and Sabz Ali.

“They were involved in drugs business in their respective areas,” claimed the official.

The Rangers claimed to have seized drugs from their custody. Later on, they were handed over to the police for further legal action.
