LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has banned unauthorised display of green number plates and blue rotating lights (hooters) on both official and private vehicles by judges of the district judiciary in Punjab.

A letter issued to all district and sessions judges in the province by the Directorate of District Judiciary said Chief Justice Mamoon Rashid Sheikh had taken serious notice of the violation and ordered all judicial officers not to display blue rotating lights, hooters and designation on official vehicles and green number plates on private vehicles.

“In future any violation of the instructions would entail disciplinary action against the delinquents,” the letter warned the judges.
