KARACHI: Reciprocating the statement from a key official of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Wasim Khan on Tuesday said Pakistan is ready to play with India anywhere in the world.

Talking to a group of journalists, the CEO added that cricket shouldn’t be mixed up with other issues. “We want to play India anywhere because it’s important that India-Pakistan cricket continues to be played for both countries.”

Vinod Rai, the head of the committee that runs the BCCI, was quoted by the local press as saying that the Indian government was open to playing Pakistan but on neutral territory only.

“Cricket should remain cricket, it’s good that they made the statement and we will be very happy to explore that and see where it goes,” said Wasim. “Cricket breaks down many divides. It’s a great way of bringing people together.”
