“Hey Jack! Pass me the paper ball!” shouted Lucy.

It was a warm class. Ms Moretta was clearing the board while the whole class was busy passing each other the ball.

The name Moretta was the synonym of cruelty. Ms Moretta was a strict science teacher, even a fly couldn’t flap its wings freely without her permission. Once Peter dared to eat chocolate in her class. After a bite, the next thing he knew was a big fat slap on his face.

Once it happened with me when I came in her class without permission. She slapped me so hard that for three days my cheek was swollen. You can do anything in the world accept messing with Ms Moretta.

But once there was an incident in which she lost control on students. That was so shameful for her that she quit her job. All the students and teachers remember this day as “The end of cruelty”.

Some think she just couldn’t control herself and was tired of her boring daily routine. Her daily routine was waking up in the morning, drink a hot cup of coffee with an omelette, coming to school, getting mad at children for the whole day, going home, getting in a fight with her husband and finally falling asleep.

Let’s come back to the incident.

On Friday, October 31, 2007, the cruellest teacher on planet was taking a normal class — she had already slapped four kids and suddenly she lost control over herself and started singing aloud. The class laughed uncontrollably. It seems that she soon returned to her sense and felt so ashamed that quickly left the class and was never seen again in the school.

Now four years have passed, the school is no more in control and no one has seen any sign of Ms Moretta. I personally think that the school was better with her because now there’s nothing anyone can do to control the students.
