PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa local government department on Wednesday directed the officials concerned to take possession of official vehicles and assets from the nazims and naib nazims of the districts, town/tehsils and village and neighbourhood councils after completion of their tenure on Aug 28.

According to a notification issued here, the directives were issued to all deputy commissioners, assistant directors/secretaries and all the tehsil/town municipal officers, asking them to ensure proper handing/taking over of the official vehicles, offices and assets from the nazims and naib nazims of the respective local governments.

It further directed to keep the same strictly in safe custody and avoid their misuse by any unauthorised person till further orders.
