CHARSADDA: The district police presented here the other day Nadir Khan, the main suspect in Umerzai triple murder case, before local media after he was handed over to the Pakistani authorities by the International Police (Interpol). The Interpol had arrested Nadir Khan in Kuala Lumpur on August 2 last.
Addressing a press conference, Mardan Deputy Inspector General of Police Mohammad Ali Khan said that the accused had gunned down three brothers, including Kashif, Sajjad and Basheer, on May 26 in Ali Jan Kallay. Nadir Khan, Pir Mohammad and Nasir Jamal were nominated in the first information repot lodged by mother of the slain brothers.
The DIG said that a special investigation team was constituted to apprehend the absconder as early as possible, which in collaboration with the Interior Ministry and Foreign Office succeeded to get the suspect arrested in Kuala Lumpur. He was later shifted to Pakistan.
