Atari Star Wars arcade machine available

Arcade 1 Up has announced that its classic Atari Star Wars arcade machine is now available for pre-order through Gamestop.

The machine includes the three original Star Wars arcade games based on A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. It retails for $499.99 and will be released in November.

Each cabinet, which stands slightly over five feet tall, features the artwork from the original arcade machines, a full colour 17-inch display, dual speakers and a light up marquee. The games are played using a unique flight yoke controller that features the Atari logo.

Arcade 1Up offers home arcade cabinets featuring classic video games such as Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Rampage, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and others.

Nasa-backed watch is out of this world!

You don’t have to travel 39 light-years (or 229 trillion miles) to get a glimpse of the recently-discovered Trappist-1 and its seven Earth-sized planets. You can do it right after you back this Kickstarter campaign.

In case you forgot, two years ago, Nasa made a groundbreaking discovery when they chanced upon seven exoplanets revolving around an ultra-cool red dwarf star, Trappist-1. And to give everyone a taste of what it’s like to experience the journey to these new worlds, Xeric launched the Trappist-1 ‘Moonphase’ Watch, a timepiece that lets you have a piece of the galaxy on your wrist.

This year, the watch is getting a major upgrade. Xeric has teamed up with Nasa to create a brand new otherworldly collection of watches to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our landing on the Moon.

Jurassic Park pinball machine

Stern Pinball announced and released a new Jurassic Park pinball machine. The game is available in three versions, which include a Pro Edition for $5,999, a Premium Edition for $7,599 and a Limited Edition for $8,999.

Stern’s take on Jurassic Park is based on the 1993 film of the same name instead of the more recent Jurassic World series of films.

“As the game starts, the player is transported to Isla Nublar, an amusement park where escaped dinosaurs are running amok!” Stern said. “The player’s mission is to rescue park staff and recapture dinosaurs from the chaotic environment unleashed by Dennis Nedry’s computer virus.” The Premium and Limited Edition versions of the game include an animatronic, ball-eating and ball-throwing T. Rex, an interactive Raptor and a horizontal helicopter spinner.
