PESHAWAR, July 22: The printing industry of NWFP has attracted large investment from Afghans as the parliamentary polls in Afghanistan are coming closer. The Afghan polls has brought life to the printing industry of the Frontier province as the Afghan nationals visit the printing market in large numbers for printing election materials.

“We have received printing business worth million of rupees from Afghan customers,” a printer said, adding that the supporters and well wishers of the candidates booked the printing orders for their candidates contesting the upcoming Afghan parliamentary elections due to held in Sept 2005.

He said that bulk of printing orders from Afghanistan has generated job opportunities for hundreds of people living on both sides of the border.—APP
