LAKKI MARWAT: Two people were killed and one was wounded in separate incidents in parts of the district, witnesses and official sources said on Saturday.

They belonged to Bharat area of Bannu district. The hotel is located on the Indus Highway and besides local residents the people travelling on the highway stop there for food or shelter.

The body and injured were retrieved from debris and taken to the DHQ hospital, Tajazai, by local police.

The rain also damaged several houses in Goraka Syedkhel and other rural localities. Rainwater accumulated in streets in the congested localities of Lakki city as municipal authorities have failed to remove heaps of garbage from urban localities.

Saifur Rehman told police that Gul Khanan and Aftab attacked them with pistol in the village. He said the attackers had also beaten up his father a few days ago. Police registered the case and have started investigation.
