Very good news. Improvement in tourism do not mean Northern areas of Pakistan. Efforts should also be made to highlight tourist spots of Punjanb, Sind and Blochistan. Sikhs, Hindus, Budhiste has alot of holy places in Pakistan. Give them security, Boarding and lodging ,travel facilities to come and visit us.

Yes.. much needed.

Tourism is the only sector which can play a very positive role in bringing much needed FE to the country provided we followup with a short term on upgrading of tourism related infrastructural requirement bring it to international level. This can be done by providing reliable, safe & secure transportation system for tourist to their proposed destination, cheap but comfortable boarding & lodging, availability of printout regarding places of visits and well trained tour operators and transport, and above all a cheap and economic air ticket package to attract international tourists. Private international and domestic investors must be provided one window service to circumvent our lengthy & confusing procedures in such cases. Having coauthored a Tourism Master Plan for Pakistan as an UNDP expert, I see lot of potential in this sector to provide a boost to our failing economy, provided we take measures to improve existing hospitality conditions on a war footings. Let us hope for the best.
