LAHORE: The Government College University (GCU), Lahore, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University of Baltistan, Skardu, for research and academic collaboration.

GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Hassan Amir Shah and the Skardu university VC Dr Prof Muhammad Naeem Khan signed the accord at a ceremony at the former’s office on Thursday.

According the six-point accord, both the universities agreed to launch a joint research support programme to host the students from each other and provide them accommodation and access to laboratories and libraries besides other necessary support.

Prof Shah said the GCU was actively strengthening research and academic ties with foreign universities to share the best practices and training of faculty members.
