RAWALPINDI: As many as 14 people were booked by the police on charges of obstructing polio vaccination and refusing to administer drops to their children in the Pirwadhai police area on Tuesday.
Ms Naeem Afzal, assistance commissioner city, lodged a complaint with the Pirwadhai police saying that she along with five Virtual Chief Medical Officers was visiting Kyaban-i-Sir Syed area when they faced strong retaliation from 14 people who not only refused to administer polio vaccine to their children but also used abusive language against the health department officials.
Police have registered a case against 14 people. However, none of them had been arrested.
