KOHAT: The president of PTI disciplinary committee for southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Aminullah Gandapur has cancelled the party’s basic membership of 13 councillors and office-bearers for supporting other parties’ candidates in the last month’s general elections.

Mr Gandapur, who is also federal food minister, in a notification on Monday said these party members worked against the interest of the party and defamed the candidates openly.

They cease to hold any office of the PTI for their misconduct, violation of party discipline and promoting the opposition candidates on the basis of false allegations of corruption, the notification said.

They are penalised for supporting rival candidates in polls

They included district councillor Dilbar Khan Advocate of union council Ziarat Shiekh Allah Dad, Tahir Ali, tehsil councillor from Gumbat union council, Jasim Saadat, district councillor Shakardarra rural-1, Riaz Khan, district councillor Shakardarra urban, Nazar Mehmood, naib nazim tehsil Lachi, Umer Daraz, tehsil councillor Shakradrra, Matiullah, tehsil youth councillor Shakardarra, Rehana Begum, tehsil councillor Shakardarra, Dr Matiullah Shah, district council Urban-5, Shahbaz Gul Shiwnari, senior vice president southern KP region, Ghuncha Gul, tehsil councillor union council Jarma, Zameer Gul, tehsil councillor union council Surgul and Pir Tasawar Shah, vice president PTI district Kohat.

THREE KILLED: Three persons were killed and one was injured in separate incidents on Monday.

Members of a family opened fire at each other in Chechanna Gunda area of Bilitang. As a result, Habibullh and Saadullah were injured with the former succumbing to injuries while being taken to hospital.

Their mother registered case against Sabirullah for the murder.

In another case, a man from Khyber tribal district was killed by unidentified men near Sur Gul Bridge on the Indus Highway.

The accused fled the area leaving body of Sabeel Khan behind.

The Jarma police registered case against unknown men on the complaint of the father of the deceased.

Unknown men cut the throat of a minor in Bahawalnagar area on Rawalpindi Road.

The police held 13 suspects soon after the incident and efforts were underway to reach the prime suspect.

Syed Ilyas Shah, the father of Mohammad Hassaan, 5, told the Mohammad Riaz police that his son was playing in front of his house when they heard his screams. When he and other housemates came out they saw Hassaan’s throat bleeding profusely and they rushed him to CMH. But he succumbed to his wounds.

The district police officer constituted investigation teams to arrest the culprits.

KIDNAPPED BOYS RECOVERED: The Jungle Khel police recovered two kidnapped boys and held their kidnappers along with the facilitator following an operation in Ghamkol Afghan refugee camp on Monday.

The police said two motorcyclists had kidnapped Bilal, 10, and Subhanullah, 11, from the camp.

Both the victims were recovered from a house. The abductors, Khalid Khan of Ghamkol camp and Adil of Jungle Khel were arrested and two pistols and cartridges were recovered from them.
