The world’s largest ice cream shop

If Willy Wonka had gone into the ice cream business instead of chocolate, we reckon this would have been the parlour of his dreams!

The world’s largest ice cream shop looks like something out of a storybook, surrounded by sweet treat-themed playgrounds from strawberry ‘waterfalls’ to mysterious trees that blow bubbles.

The Ice Cream Farm is tucked away in Tattenhall near Chester, UK. Its parlour also happens to hold the Guinness World Record for being the world’s largest ice cream shop, a title it’s had since 2015. The parlour has plenty of seating as well as a children’s play area, making it ideal as a day out no matter what the weather.

Apart from that, kids can get up close to real farm animals, or let off some energy in the soft play area Daisy’s Garden and can explore Honeycomb Canyon, an indoor sand and water play area, or indoor adventure play barn Crazy Daisy’s Fun Factory with thrilling games on offer. They can also search for treasure in the Gemstone Cave sand pits, have a go on the Jelly Drop slide, or put their golf skills to the test at Strawberry Falls, a candy-themed mini golf course.

And there is Ice Cream Tree near the entrance, which releases bubbles every 30 minutes!

A raccoon turns Spiderman to scale a tall building

A raccoon stranded on the ledge of a building in St. Paul, Minnesota, captivated onlookers and generated interest on social media after it started scaling an office building.

Onlookers and reporters tracked the critter’s progress at it climbed the UBS Plaza, interrupting work and causing anxiety for some. By the next morning, it had made it to the roof of the building, easing fears that it would plummet to its death. St. Paul Animal Control put a trap and cat food on the roof, hoping to bring the raccoon down safely.

Nearby Minnesota Public Radio branded the raccoon with the hashtag #mprraccoon. The woodland creature also had its own Twitter account, with one tweet saying, “I made a big mistake.” Many feared for the raccoon’s safety.

Six young squirrels rescued from ordeal of tangled tails

Six young squirrels whose tails were stuck together by tree sap are recovering after a Nebraska wildlife expert untangled them.

A Nebraska Humane Society worker rescued the squirrels from a pine tree in Omaha a few weeks back.

Nebraska Wildlife Rehab executive director Laura Stastny told that the sap-covered tails became knotted as the youngsters wrestled in their nest.

Resident Craig Luttman spotted the rodents’ predicament, describing it as “kind of like a tug of war, going in completely opposite directions.”

Stastny gave the squirrels a mild painkiller before removing the sticky fur and untangling them.

She says some of them suffered injuries to their tails, but that she expects all six to be released in a few weeks.
