PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company has claimed to have taken all measures to provide uninterrupted power supply to its consumers during sehr, iftar and taraveeh timings.

According to a statement issued here on Wednesday, the decision was taken in a conference of superintending engineers which was held with Pesco board of directors’ chairman Nawabzada Arsala Khan Hoti in the chair at Wapda House, Peshawar.

Pesco chief executive officer Zakaullah Gandapur briefed the meeting about power supply position. It was decided that smooth power supply to the consumers would be provided during sehr and iftar timings and for the purpose a crisis management cell had been established at Wapda House, Peshawar, to facilitate the consumers.

Besides, it was stated that relief would be given to the consumers of areas where losses were less and recovery was encouraging. It was stated that equipments had been provided to all Pesco sub-divisions so that any emergency could be tackled promptly.

Pesco issues new loadshedding schedule

NEW SCHEDULE: Following a decision by the federal government a revised loadshedding schedule has been issued for Ramazan. According to a statement issued here on Wednesday, the feeders showing line losses of up to 10 per cent would face 3:30 hours loadshedding, from 10 to 20 per cent 4:30 hours loadshedding and the localities with losses between 20 to 30 per cent to face five hours outages.

Likewise, the areas with 30 to 40 per cent line losses would face six-hour loadshedding, with 40 to 60 percent line losses seven-hour loadshedding and those with losses from 60 to 80 per cent to face eight-hour daily outages.

The areas where line losses are above 80 per cent will face 11-hour loadshedding.

In order to give maximum relief to domestic consumers all industries will be shut down from iftar to sehr.

Also in the day, Pepco managing director Musadiq Ahmad Khan during his visit to Peshawar asked the Pesco staff to provide smooth power supply to consumers during Ramazan.

Zakaullah Gandapur, Tesco chief executive Mohammad Amjad Khan, all chief engineers, superintending engineers and other relevant officials were present on this occasion.

The Pepco chief said that all efforts should be made to provide uninterrupted power supply to the consumers.

He asked the field officers to immediately inform the consumers about power suspension and loadshedding schedule so that they could adjust their daily schedule accordingly.

He also directed for informing the consumers about any change in the loadshedding schedule and power shutdowns on their mobile phones.
