BAHAWALPUR: Pakistan Seraiki Party General Secretary Akbar Ahmad Ansari says PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif in his public address in Multan ignored the burning issues of the Seraiki people.

In his statement issued in Ahmedpur East on Saturday, he said the three-time prime minister should have mentioned the deprivations of millions of people and these issues multiplied during the rule of the PML-N.

He said the problems were as basic as unavailability of potable water, education and health for people of Bahawalpur and other districts in south Punjab. The PML-N also ignored the demand of a Seraiki province, he said.

He said the PSP did not accept the Janoobi Punjab Sooba Mahaz. He said the PML-N’s Multan public meeting proved a failure.

PSP Additional Secretary Allama Iqbal Waseem also hit out at Nawaz Sharif for deliberately ignoring the important issues.

ARRESTS: The Civil Lines police on Saturday arrested a man and his son for a prank call to police emergency number 15.

Farooq through his mobile phone called the emergency police regarding an unfounded attack by three people and snatching his motorcycle.

A police team rushed to the spot where Farooq and his son admitted that they had staged a drama to recover their loan from Shahid and had damaged their motorcycle themselves.
