SHEIKHUPURA: Residents of the various localities, including Ghang Road, Alvi Park, Stadium Park, Muslim Ganj, Khalid Road and Tariq Road, demanded provisions of safe drinking water.

A delegation of the representatives of the areas met the media persons and apprised them of the grave situation. They said they held meetings with the deputy commissioner and the TMA officials but nothing was done despite assurances. They demanded the CM to look into the issue.

MURDER: A man shot his wife dead over a domestic issue in Imamia Colony on Friday.

According to the police, one Mubashar had a quarrel with his wife, identified as Asiya, over a family matter. After an exchange of harsh words, he opened fire on Asiya and killed her on the spot.

Ferozewala police have registered a case and started investigation.

ENCOUNTER: A robber was killed in an encounter with Manawala police while two of his accomplices escaped.

The police patrol received information that three motorcyclists had robbed a family of valuables on the Lagar Road.

The police started chasing fleeing suspects. At sight of the police, the robbers opened fire which started an exchange of fire between both sides. During the encounter, one of the robbers was shot dead while two others escaped.
