In school, you study various subjects and physics is one of them, if you are a science student. Physics is a very vast subject — a subject which cannot be summed up in just a few words but to simplify the concept, let me explain; everything on earth, everything in our solar system, everything in our galaxy, and everything in the universe moves and interacts, and forces play a big part in that. Physics studies those forces and interactions.

It is not wrong to say that physics is related to all other sciences: chemistry, biology, geology, astronomy, meteorology, engineering, etc. if you can name it, chances are physics is involved.

But let’s simplify things more with www.physics4kids.com — a site which makes the subject quite interesting for young minds through videos, experiments and quizzes.

Kids who are new to the subject and find the concepts difficult to grasp will find this site very interesting because the content is simplified and doesn’t have a bookish language, with large font size as the default.

The site has six categories — motion, heat, light, electricity, modern physics and, for the inquisitive minds, ‘quizzes’. All topics have videos taken from Nasa’s site. You will find underlined words at various place in the content, if you want more detail on the underlined words, click them and the site will take you to a new page explaining the topic further.

The site doesn’t contain many ads so there are no distractions, and if you want to study other science subjects, there are links to sister sites as simple as this site. The site is focussed to explaining the basics of physics to kids, but adults can also go through the content and revive their knowledge.
