KHAR: The father of a labourer, killed along with a colleague in Lahore, threatened on Tuesday to go on hunger strike if the killers were not arrested immediately.

Addressing a news conference, Gul Zaman Khan, a resident of Barkholozo area, said his son Ziaur Rahman and his colleague Awal Khan were shot dead at Data Darbar Market on January 12.

He said his son was the lone bread earner of the family. “We are poor people. We have been living in the house of a landlord since long. It was the great desire of my son to build his own house but his dream could not come true,” he added.

The 60-year-old Gul Zaman Khan criticised the Punjab government for not arresting the killers of his son despite lapse of two weeks.
