BELFAST (Northern Ireland): An explosion set fire to the Belfast headquarters of the territorial army on Saturday [Jan 13] in this city’s second bomb incident this month.

There were no victims and the fire was quickly brought under control. Another bomb planted in the building earlier this month was defused without accident by disposal experts.

The bombs are thought to have been placed by Irish nationalists protesting against Northern Ireland’s attachment to the United Kingdom. — Agency

[Meanwhile, as reported by our correspondent in Karachi,] President Tito yesterday [Jan 14] commended Pakistan’s efforts in increasing agricultural production and fighting the menace of waterlogging. The Yugoslav President, who visited Mirpur Sakro for a day, was talking to President Ayub during their shooting trip on the Haji Girano Lake. President Ayub informed the distinguished visitor about the steps being taken by Pakistan towards this end. He said a network of 1,400 miles of drains is being laid in the Ghulam Mohammad Barrage area to save the crop land from waterlogging.
