The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) might confirm the team's schedule for its tour to Pakistan for a short series in a few days, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi told DawnNews on Monday.

The series is expected to be held in the latter half of November, Sethi said. He added that he is "hopeful" WICB will share tour details and dates with the PCB in the coming days.

The PCB chief, however, dismissed chances of a series with South Africa this year. After the Cricket South Africa (CSA) T20 Global League was postponed, the PCB had proposed a series. However, the CSA is planning to hold a domestic cricket tournament due to which even a short series between the Proteas and the green shirts will not be possible.

Sethi also welcomed security consultant Reg Dickason's visit to Karachi and termed it as a "step towards the revival of cricket in Karachi".

"His meeting with the Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Inspector General Sindh A.D. Khowaja is of great importance, " the PCB chairperson said. "We are hoping to get a positive report from [Dickason] so we can hold Pakistan Super League matches in Karachi."
