KARACHI: Four alleged robbers were shot dead in two separate ‘encounters’ in Ferozabad and Gulzar-i-Hijri on Wednesday, officials said.

In Ferozabad, three suspects entered a Delhi Colony home. In the meantime, police received information on Madadgar-15 from someone in the neighbourhood about their presence upon which the police rushed to the spot an encounter ensued in which three suspects were killed, said Karachi East SSP Irfan Baloch. Their identity could not be ascertained.

Earlier, in the other incident, a suspect was shot dead while his two accomplices managed to escape in Scouts Colony, the Mobina Town police said. The suspect was identified as Khalid, 30.
