KARACHI. Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmad has pledged his support for the disabled cricketers in the country while lauding the services rendered by the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA).

Sarfraz, who led the country to ICC Champions Trophy glory last month in England with an emphatic 180-run victory over arch-rivals India in the final at The Oval , expressed his desire when he met a four-member PDCA delegation which visited his residence here on Sunday.

The delegation comprising of honorary PDCA secretary Amiruddin Ansari, joint secretary and media manager Mohammad Nizam, Dr Noman Paliker and Mohammad Sadiq Khatri congratulated the Pakistan captain for inspiring leadership qualities and prayed the 30-year-old wicket-keeper/batsman would lead his team to more titles in the future.

The delegation presented Sarfraz, now Pakistan’s captain in all three formats, bouquet on behalf of the PDCA president Salim Karim, while extending him an invitation for a reception in his honour at a later date.

Sarfraz, not only thanked the delegation for their brief visit, but also accepted the invitation when he is available in the city.

Former first-class cricketer Zafar Ahmed was also present on the occasion.
